Visiting Beacon Baptist Church

Visiting a church for the first time can be a daunting experience. We want to put your heart and mind at ease as you consider visiting with us. We assure you that your time spent at Beacon Baptist Church will be encouraging and refreshing. You will find our church to be filled with friendly, compassionate people who extend a warm welcome. Although we are not perfect people, our lives and our journeys tell an incredible story of God’s marvelous grace and goodness.

Beacon Baptist Church is a group of believers who earnestly desire to worship Jesus Christ by learning and obeying the Word of God. We make no apology for strong preaching, sound doctrine, and genuine devotion to God. Those who visit Beacon Baptist Church will be blessed by the inspiring music, the enthusiastic fellowship, and the challenging, faith-building services. Our emphasis is not on entertainment, but rather on honoring the Lord, sharing the Gospel, and encouraging others.

We have prepared for your visit. We would love to have a chance to meet you and worship God together with you very soon!

How do I get to Beacon Baptist Church?

What can I expect?

When you pull into our main driveway at the east entrance off of Marydale Drive, you will be able to park your vehicle in our parking lot to the right on the north side of the building. You will be able to enter the building at the main lobby in the front, east side entrance of the church or in the side, north entrance by the Administrative Offices. As you enter the church, one of our hospitality greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have.

On Sunday mornings, most adults attend one of our Adult Sunday School classes. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to fellowship with others, enjoy some refreshments, and hear a teaching lesson more directly applicable to your stage of life. Following these classes all the adults come together for the Main Morning Service where they enjoy the beautiful, inspiring, traditional-style music of the congregational singing, choir, ensembles, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Pastor Cardamone. This service is a little over one hour in length. Many of our people come back on Sunday evenings to enjoy a family-oriented service with new music and another encouraging Bible message.

Wednesday evenings are a wonderful time of Bible study. This service is focused on teaching and equipping as we search the Scriptures to know the heart and mind of God. The adults join together in the main auditorium for a time of hymns and choruses, prayer, and a Bible lesson. The teens enjoy age-appropriate attention and Bible study in their teen class, while the children enjoy a well-planned time of Bible memorization, Bible lessons, and games in the Awana program.

Where do I take my kids?

Nursery
A clean and welcoming nursery is available for children 2 years of age and younger for each service. Upon your arrival, a greeter can help you find the nursery that is located by the Fellowship Hall.

Children and Teenagers
On Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings we have a well-prepared program for your preschool through 12th grader. They will enjoy learning about God with other young people their age. All the youth meet together for an opening assembly in the Youth Room, located on the second floor of the building, after which they are dismissed with their teachers to go to their individual classes.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Beacon Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable on your visit here at our church.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?

No. We do not invite you to our church for your money. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in this place a warm family spirit, truth from God’s Word, and a place where you can grow in God’s grace. Please do not feel compelled to give in the offering as a guest.
